Hope in the barren places

Before the morning


There is darkness


Before spring


There is winter



Your barren places


Will become the scaffolding


From which abundant growth


Will burst forth



When the leaves have filled in the gaps


We will remember and honor what lies beneath



Hold onto hope, there is joy to be found on the unchosen journey in the valley of the shadow.
