Your Mini Mental Health Makeover

I made something for you and I can't wait to share it with you!

I have taken the skills and tools I regularly teach and reinforce with my clients and have compiled them into what I call the Mini Mental Health Makeover and Mini Mental Health Toolkit. This resource has the potential to have a powerful impact on your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health when used regularly. Maybe I should have included a "caution" statement. Caution: your mental health could drastically improve when using this this toolkit! *wink wink

The key to transforming your life lies not in grand gestures or drastic changes, but in the quiet yet profound mastery of everyday habits. It's the subtle shifts that hold the power to revolutionize how we live, breathe, and thrive. I have a client implement simple, reasonable changes in just one of the mini makeover areas and she returned to her next session reporting how much better she was feeling physically and emotionally!

This mini mental health makeover combined with the mental health toolkit will be your new "go to" quick reference resource whether you are a recipient of counseling care, or if you are a therapist providing counseling care.

The Mini Mental Health Makeover guides you through a comprehensive assessment of six crucial life domains, encompassing spiritual, emotional, and social well-being, alongside three key elements vital for sustaining physical health. Each facet is paired with a scripture reference and offers a range of practical strategies, fostering reconnection and nurturing restoration within these areas. The Mini Mental Health Toolkit provides you with reminders of the most commonly taught and used EMDR resourcing skills including: breathing, the five senses, tapping, container, calm place, and the body scan. Each tool is simply described and is accompanied with a scripture passage for reflection and meditation.

"Self-care is never a selfish act—it is simply stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer to others." - Parker Palmer

The toolkit serves as an effective refresher for individuals familiar with these foundational resourcing skills. It's also a valuable resource for Christian EMDR therapists aiming to empower their clients to independently assess and re-engage in beneficial mental, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual practices. I hope you love it and find it a useful check list and guide to caring for the body God has created for you!
